Face Painting

SANDRA provides a creative, professional face painting and temporary tattoo service for events within the Leeds, Harrogate and York area of North England.

SANDRA has over 20 years experience, is a Member of Equity, has full public liability insurance cover and is CRB checked (police vetted).

She is extremely reliable, talented and able to communicate/interface successfully with a crowd of people. She has frequently entertained at Harewood House, Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Centre, The Light in Leeds and other large well known venues.

Options available

1. Face Painting suitable for any event and can incorporate your particular theme if you have one

2. Face painting workshops for the older children. They love these because they are informative, friendly and fun. A great party idea that contains demonstrations on how to create amazing brush strokes, some secrets to creating stunning designs using colours, glitters and other professional products but most of all the “hands on” approach and getting the children to paint each other. A tried and tested success every time. Great for Girl guides and other similar gatherings

3. Adult Training Courses. SANDRA offers a two day face painting training course which aims to develop an individual in the basics of face painting.  To advance beyond the basics an individual must practice, practice, practice to become both competent and confident.

Terms and Conditions

• It is the responsibility of the party organiser/sponsor to ensure that all parents/guardians of children attending a party are informed that a face painter will be part of the event.
• The client/customer is responsible for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests and or damage to the face painter’s equipment or supplies caused by pets or guests.
• There must be easy access to the event, for off loading and loading purposes. The vehicle may be parked elsewhere during the event.
• SANDRA will not supervise children. Their behaviour and safety is the clients/ customers responsibility.
• In general the client/customer supplies a suitable venue for SANDRA to work.
• If for unforeseen circumstances SANDRA has to cancel an engagement then she will do her best to find a suitable replacement. In the highly unlikely event of this happening the new entertainer’s details will be submitted to the client/customer for consideration and agreement.

• SANDRA has full public liability insurance for £10,000,000
• SANDRA is not liable for any allergic reaction to paints and cosmetics used.
• If a person has allergies or sensitive skin they must have a patch test on inside of their arm and wait 20 minutes before they are allowed to have their face paint applied. If there is no reaction SANDRA will paint their face.
• Children under 3 will not be painted. At SANDRA’S discretion she may paint on child’s arm instead.
• If a child is unwell or appears to be suffering from cold sores, eczema, conjunctivitis, impetigo, open wounds, bruises or any infectious skin condition they will not be painted.
• All products used are EEC/FDA approved and poly-glitters safe for cosmetic use. Paints are water based and contain antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. These products have not been tested on animals.
• SANDRA reserves the right to refuse to paint a person (or part of) if she feels it is unsuitable, or with what she considers offensive symbols or subjects. She will not paint anyone against their wishes – however young they are.
• All persons to be painted should have a clean and dry face.
• SANDRA will take reasonable care not to damage clothing but cannot be held responsible if contact with face paint does occur. If this occurs, you should soak the clothing in cold water before washing normally.
• Please do not let the children touch the work table, paints or equipment. SANDRA will not be liable for any damage or injuries should they occur.
• Please do not leave children unattended. Children’s behavior and safety is the responsibility of the parent/guardian at all times.
• Face paints are easily removed with mild soap. The most stubborn colours to remove are black and red.
